Thank you for purchasing the
kcscripts.com website automation software. Before you
start working with the individual modules such as the
classifieds, calendar, etc. you'll want to setup general
site settings for the software. Follow the steps below
to get started quickly and effectively.
Getting Started
Within the
Master Admin @ http://www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

Change your admin password

Click on “General Config”
-
Change your password and click
“update”
-
If you will be providing
memberships to use the calendar, news publisher, brochure,
or classifieds, you’ll need to set the membership options.

Click on “Member Config”
-
Select the desired variables
for your new members
-
Click “update” at the bottom
Plugging in the scripts to
your website (within the
master admin)
-
Click on “Important URL’s”
This will show the links to point your website buttons to.

Change the look of the output
pages to match the rest of your website

Modify the
cgi-bin/master/cgitpl/gl_visitors.txt file on your
server.

Additional things you’ll want
to do

Set configuration options for
each module (ie: calendar, classifieds, etc.)

By clicking on each module
button, you’ll see a “Configuration” link. Click on
the
links accordingly to modify how you want each script to
operate.

Modify the “body” templates.
Each output page is a template and can be
modified/customized to better display what you want your
visitors to see. Go to
http://www.kcscripts.com/manual/index.html and click on
“view” under the
“Customizing” column.
