Manual: Photo Album Help

The photo album script allows website owners to publish photos on their website.  The information below will help you start utilizing the photo album script in your website quickly and effectively.

Adding new photos

Steps:

  1. Login to your master admin at www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

  2. Go to "Photos"

  3. Click on the "Add Photos" button

Managing photos

Steps:

  1. Login to your master admin at www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

  2. Go to "Photos"

  3. Click the "Modify" button under the photo that you want to modify

Removing photos

Steps:

  1. Login to your master admin at www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

  2. Go to "Photos"

  3. Click the "Delete" button under the photo you want removed

Configuration Settings

Steps:

  1. Login to your master admin at www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

  2. Go to "Calendar" then click on "Configuration Settings"

  3. Modify the settings accordingly:

Max photo size (IE: 512000)
Max photo Width to Display(200)
Display Style
Columns Across
Show photo titles
Show "Image Details" button

Modifying Templates

You can customize any template that your website visitor sees.  Click here to view the template customizing information.

Modifying help files

If you want to provide your members with a more extensive or "modified" version of help files you can. 

Step:

  1. Using your html editor on your pc, modify the following template:
    help-scripts/help-photo-album.htm (master admin help file)

  2. Simply save the file with your new design and move it over to the server.  You will want to keep your images outside of the cgi-bin.

Linking the photo album to your website

Step:

  1. Simply point your photo album button on your website to the following url:
    http://www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/photo-album/PhotoVisitor.cgi

    Note: This url can also be found under the "Important URL's" link on the main startup page of the master admin.
