The shopping cart script allows
a website owner to easily sell their products and/or
services online. The information below will help you
start utilizing the shopping cart script quickly and
effectively.
Configuration Settings
You can set nearly all
configuration options on the shopping cart's configuration
page include email notification options, disclaimer, etc.
Steps:

Login to your master admin at
www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

Click on "Shopping
Cart"

Click on
"Configuration"

Set options

Setting payment options
You can allow your customers to
purchase your products or services in three different ways.

Login to your master admin at
www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi

Go to "Payment
Config"
-
Check the
boxes next to the payment options you want to provide

Manual payments:
This is the payment option for your members or
shopping cart visitors can simply mail in the payments
to you.
Paypal: You can offer paypal payments using
the service located at
www.paypal.com.
You will need to have a business account which is
still typically free other than the normal transaction
fees. The downside of paypal is that your
customers also have to have a paypal account to
purchase from you which may cause you to lose sales.
Authorize.net:
This is a secure way of handling transactions that
offer hassle free order processing. We use
authorize.net so you can see by our ordering process
how it could work for you. |

Adding products
Steps:

Login to your master admin at
www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi
-
Click on
"Shopping Cart"

Click on "Add
New Product" button at the bottom of the page

Fill in the fields accordingly

Specify product
info link pages
There are three
different options for how to handle product information pages.
Steps:

Login to your master admin at
www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi
-
Click on
"Shopping Cart"
When adding or
editing a product, you'll see a section called "Information
Page". Under that section specify how you want the
products to be displayed from the shopping cart.

Auto
Generated: This will automatically create the
product page. You can modify the product information
page template as well.

URL:
If you already have custom product pages and you just want
the shopping cart to link to them, fill in the url
accordingly.

None:
If you don't want any product links specified then click
on the "None" option.

Creating "Buy Now"
buttons
If you want to
show specific items anywhere on your website and include a
"buy now" button you can.
Steps:

Login to your master admin at
www.<yourdomain>.com/cgi-bin/master/Admin.cgi
-
Click on
"Shopping Cart"
-
Click on the
"edit" button of the product you want the buy now button
to be for
-
Get the "Buy
Now" id that's automatically generated for that particular
product from the individual product page.

Copy and paste
the sample html code below replacing the product id in the
"idx" value below.

Modifying help
files
If you want to
provide your members with a more extensive or "modified"
version of help files you can.
Step:

Using your
html editor on your pc, modify the following template:
help-scripts/help-shop-cart.htm
-
Simply save
the file with your new design and move it over to the
server. You will want to keep your images outside of
the cgi-bin.

Linking
the shopping cart to your
website
Simply point
your shopping cart button on your website to the following url:
